DHX MEDIA GOING STEADY IN CANADA

Deals signed across TV, home entertainment and digital platforms

Halifax, Los Angeles, London, Toronto, Vancouver. Xx March 2013. DHX Media, a leading independent producer, distributor and licensor of mainly children's entertainment content, has locked down a host of deals across multiple platforms in Canada.

Canadian broadcaster CBC continues to show an appetite for DHX Media content and has signed a renewal for seasons 1, 2 and 3 of the preschool stop-motion comedy animation, POKO (71 half hours). POKO has been a favourite on Kids CBC for xx years and can be seen weekdays at 10:00am.

DHX Media has inked a three-year deal with digital giant BlackBerry® for 1000 episodes of programming which will be available across the UK, US and Canada. The deal includes titles such as Inspector Gadget, perennial favourite Sonic the Hedgehog and several Movie Toons.

Berkshire Axis Media Distribution (BAM) in Canada has also shown great commitment to the DHX catalogue, signing a six-year home entertainment deal for a range of titles including Mona the Vampire, Are you Afraid of the Dark? and Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? BAM will be releasing titles in both French and English.
